June 8th.
Paul Bennett 7 miles.
New Forest.
Vereley Hill-Church Moor-Greenberry Bridge-Burley-Vereley Hill.Meet 10.30 at Vereley Hill car park GR SU195050. Turn off the A31 at Picket post towards Burley. Vereley Hill car park is less than 1 mile on the righthand side. Pub lunch at Burley. No suitable bus.


June 22nd.
Duncan Hitchings 6 miles. .
Piddle Valley.
Affpuddle Heath – Athelhampton – Affpuddle – Affpuddle Heath. Meet 10.30 at Affpuddle Car Park (free). Directions: travelling south from Affpuddle on the B3390, after approx. 1 mile turn left at signpost to Bere Regis and then immediately right into Forestry Commission car park. (SY804 924). No suitable bus. Bring lunch.
NOTE WALK CHANGED DUE TO RAIL STRIKE.

July 13th.
Mike Bellamy & Pat Bullen. 7 miles.
Fordingbridge – Lower Burgate– Suspension Bridge - Folds Farm -Castle Hill - Wood Green - walk along the dismantled railway line and cross the A338 to Upper Burgate - Fryern Farm - Tinkers Cross- Fordingbridge.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: On arriving in Fordingbridge, cross the bridge opposite the George Hotel take a right turn and turn left into Green Lane and then right into Whitsbury Road. Parking available here, also in Park Rd and Alexandra Rd, 1st and 2nd on the right.
By Bus X3 bus from Bournemouth 9.35, Lansdowne 9.41, Boscombe 9.47, Royal Bmth Hosp. 9.56. Arr. Fordingbridge Post Office 10.33. Leader will meet bus and we will walk back to Whitsbury Rd where the walk will start at 10.45. Picnic lunch at Castle Hill with views over the River Avon or some walkers might like to walk on for 15mins with lunch at the “Horse and Groom” in Wood Green. Some paths could be overgrown with stinging nettles so it is advisable to wear long trousers. There could be a slight change to the walk if paths are too overgrown and then the lunch stop will be at Godshill. (The Fighting Cocks pub”) Bring lunch and drink.

July 27th.
Mike Bellamy 5 miles.
Isle of Purbeck
Scott Arms at Kingston to Square & Compass at Worth Matravers. Meet on the road (West St) on the right along from the Scott Arms opposite the Church at 10.45.Either park on the right on this road or in the car park a bit further on in the woods on the left.X40 bus from Poole Bus Station Stand H 0935 arrives Kingston, Scott Arms at 1039.

August 10th.
John Finnamore 5½ miles.
Isle of Wight Circular
Yarmouth – Fort Victoria – Golden Hill Fort– Freshwater Village (pub lunch) - Yarmouth (via Causeway). Ferry leaves Lymington Pier at 10am, £14.40 return for over 60’s. Bring lunch and drink. If you wish to travel by train please check at the station for times, fares etc. Tickets can be bought through to Yarmouth. Possible train strikes this summer.

August 24th.
Kath Dinmore & Alex Simmonds 5½ miles.
Poole
Whitecliff - Blake Hill Viewpoint - Shore Road - Canford Cliffs Chine - Whitecliff. No direct bus from Bournemouth. More bus 60 from Poole Bus Station at 10.10. Arr. Whitecliff 10.17. Meet 10.30 at the corner of Whitecliff Rd and Sandbanks Rd. There is a car park at Whitecliff or park in side roads.

September 14th.

Tuckton Circular
Tuckton - Hengistbury Head - ferry to Mudeford Quay - Stanpit - Christchurch - Tuckton. 7 miles. Cafe & pub at lunchtime. Meet 10.30 at Riverlands Wick Lane car park / toilets. BH6 4JX. Free parking in nearby streets.. Yellow buses 1, 1b & 33.

September 28th.
Lyn Moore. 6 miles.
Salisbury Circular.
Salisbury - Avon Valley Nature Reserve - Old Sarum - Bishop Down - Salisbury. Meet at Salisbury Library (SU143301). Corner of Blue Boar Row and Castle St. at 11.15. Mores X3 B’mth Square 09.35, RBH 09.56. Nearby chargeable parking in Central Car Park next to Coach Station access via Mill Stream Approach off of Castle St. Bring lunch & drink. Pub at lunchtime if preferred.

Please check bus times. There may be a revised timetable for the X3 bus due to roadworks, and train timetables.
